
Hospice Advocate Award Winner – Linda Tavel
Linda Tavel, MD received this very special award and honored on Feb. 21, 2025 at our annual awards ceremony in front of 400+ hospice professionals.
Linda Tavel was nominated by Danny Mack and here is what he wrote:
“I am writing to wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Linda Tavel for the Hospice Advocate Award. Having had the privilege to work alongside Dr. Tavel for several years, I can attest to her exceptional dedication and unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of care to her patients.
Dr. Tavel’s medical expertise is truly remarkable. Her extensive knowledge in palliative care, combined with her compassionate approach, has had a profound impact on countless patients and their families. She possesses an unparalleled ability to navigate complex medical situations while maintaining a focus on the human aspects of care.
In addition to her clinical skills, Dr. Tavel has made significant contributions outside of her direct patient care. She has served on the board of the Texas New Mexico Palliative and Hospice Organization (TNMPHO), where her insights have helped shape policies that enhance patient care throughout our community.
Dr. Tavel’s presentations at the annual conference have been informative and are considered a highlight of the conference.
