Job Summary:
The Hospice Liaison serves as a vital link between Lifted Hospice and the broader community. This role is tasked with developing and promoting hospice programs and services, ensuring that the organization’s mission and values are effectively communicated and understood within the community. The Liaison works under the guidance of the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to identify community needs, build relationships with healthcare providers, and enhance the visibility of hospice services. Through strategic outreach and marketing, the Hospice Liaison plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s goals and ensuring that quality healthcare services are accessible to those in need.

Job Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred, with a focus in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Prior healthcare experience preferred, especially within hospice, palliative care, or home health services. Experience in community outreach, public relations, or marketing within the healthcare sector is highly valued.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and to foster partnerships within the healthcare community.
Skills:
Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with medical professionals, community leaders, and potential referral sources.
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying the hospice’s mission and services to diverse audiences.
In-depth understanding of healthcare and hospice care industry standards, regulations, and practices.
Strategic thinking with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Field-based role requiring local travel to meet with healthcare providers, attend community events, and engage with potential referral sources.
Flexible working schedule to accommodate meetings, presentations, and community events outside of traditional office hours.
Exposure to various weather conditions during travel and participation in outdoor events.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Significant time spent traveling, with frequent sitting, standing, and walking during meetings and events.
Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and maintain a calm demeanor in diverse settings.
Essential Functions:
Develops and executes marketing and outreach strategies under the guidance of the CSO to promote hospice programs and services within the community.
Builds and maintains relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and potential referral sources to increase awareness and referrals to hospice services.
Implements public relations and communication initiatives to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation in the healthcare community and among the public.
Collaborates with the hospice team to assess community needs and align outreach efforts with the strategic goals of the organization.
Ensures all marketing and outreach activities comply with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
The Hospice Liaison is an integral part of the overall referral process including hospice 101, consent, and on-going communication process with referral sources, families, and patients. The level of engagement expected in this role will include hours outside of the standard workday and extend into evenings and weekends, as needed.
