Kaitlyn McCoy Receives the Charley Wasson Hospice Advocacy Award
March 8, 2023

Kaitlyn McCoy was honored on Feb. 26, 2023 at our annual awards ceremony in front of 400+ hospice professionals.

Ethan Innis, at Luna Del Valle Healthcare Services, nominated Kaitlyn and this is what he wrote about her:

“Kaitlyn McCoy is the Corporate Operations Officer for Luna Del Valle Healthcare Services with a deep understanding of the value of hard work. Kaitlyn is a graduate of Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen, Washington. While living in Washington, Kaitlyn worked for the Non-Profit Dr. O.R. Nevitt Memorial Swimming Pool as a lifeguard and a swimming instructor for Autistic Children. Kaitlyn volunteered for a community theater which benefited the elderly in her community. Kaitlyn moved to New Mexico in 2011 and began her career in healthcare services as a volunteer. With hard work and dedication to the service of the community she worked to become an experienced Hospice and Home Health Intake Coordinator, Business Office Manager, and Operations Manager. Regardless of what her title has been, Kaitlyn has maintained her beliefs in a strong community and giving back to those in times of difficulty. Kaitlyn believes that volunteer work and giving back is vital to a functional society and represents compassion and support for others. When we share wealth, health, and compassion with others, especially those who are underserved and without financial means it is inspiring and inspires a better humanity. Kaitlyn loves reading, music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Kaitlyn is the COO of Luna Del Valle Healthcare Services, and Director of The Willow Foundation. The Willow Foundation was founded with the vision that we need to come together as a community to help those in need of care, assistance, resources and information that support local communities in providing financial assistance to non-funded patients for healthcare costs, as well as fulfillment of a patient’s last wishes, and to ensure the basic needs for comfort are met. The Willow Foundation wants to help our community to thrive with an abundance of resources and education.”

Kaitlyn – Congratulations on your well-deserved success! You’re an inspiration! – TNMHO Board of Directors and Team!

Education Subscription

The TNMHPO Education Subscription is for agencies who wish to provide on-demand education for the entire staff. This subscription is an add-on to a TNMHPO membership and can’t be purchased separately.

A TNMHPO Membership Plus Education Subscription gives members of the Texas New Mexico Hospice & Palliative Care Organization unlimited access to all archived online education for the entire year.  You can provide training to your current staff and utilize these educational opportunities for new employee orientation.  There are courses for every discipline on your hospice team and continuing education units and proof of attendance for Administrators, Nurses, Social Workers, and LPCs.

The optional education subscription may only be used by staff of the joining hospice agency, not to train partners, affiliates or sister organization staff. If your hospice is part of a home health, then the home health division will need to pay its own dues and education.

TNMHPO reserves the right to limit users if we feel the system is being misused.

  • Over 100 recorded online training courses for all hospice disciplines
  • Eligible for Continuing Education Units
  • Customized certificates for CEUs
  • Available on-demand, on your schedule
